I’m just back from a few days in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. I was base-camped with a single client at a spectacular site along the Jago River. The Jago has now entered my short list of most beautiful places in Alaska. Our camp was situated on a low tundra bench covered in wildflowers. The river, small and braided flowed past a few yards away and glaciated peaks peered over the ridgetop to the west. I didn’t want to leave.
More from the trip to come.
